The Fault In Our Stars

Hi everybody!

How is everyone doing this Saturday? I had a bit of a rough time the past few days, for personal reasons, but I'm feeling much better today :) Good enough, at least, to update my Instagram Alphabet!

Some days ago I posted F on my Instagram and it got quite a lot of likes, so here is the blog post provided! F is for The Fault in our Stars, Friendship Bracelet, Feather, Flower and Frizz-Ease.

Let's start with the Friendship Bracelet, shall we? It is a bracelet I bought together with my Spanish exchange student Ana when she stayed with me in the Netherlands. Before we met we had no idea that we would become such great friends. We had completely different interests and barely understood one another when speaking over Whatsapp. But during the two weeks we spent together, both in Spain and in Holland, we had so much fun that we shred tears when we had to say goodbye to one another. I couldn't have wished for a better exchange experience with her and I still miss her to this day. (It's been almost a year since we last saw each other) We may not ever meet again, but I hold the memories very dearly.

The Fault in our Stars by John Green... Let me flash back to last summer when I opened this book for the first time after having it stand on my bookshelf for weeks: I opened it and couldn't stop reading. I love, love, love the book so much for its light ambiance. Although it is quite a sad book, the characters are very light-minded and funny. It completely changes the way you look at the world, which, for me, makes it a worthwhile read. The minute I finished the book I couldn't stop talking about it and nearly forced my best friend to read it as well. She did, and she, too, loved it to bits.

What is there to say about a Feather other than it is, well, a feather? My sister collects feathers and they stand in a little glass jar on her nightstand. It's quite pretty to look at and it suits the other objects standing next to it. (Old books, dried roses, little bird skulls, and pretty stones) It gives me the feeling of magic, and I'm not entirely sure why. This feather I randomly picked, by the way. It is in no way the prettiest she has ;)

Now this is where I can start getting really excited over little things again :) Flowers! I absolutely love everything that has to do with spring and summer (except maybe wasps and mosquitoes) and thus also flowers. ✿ You have no idea how happy it makes me when the birds start chirping again and the sun starts rising earlier in the morning and the flowers pop up out of the soil. It's just the way little flowers dance in the wind, or the way my cat plays with them in the garden and the way bees work their asses off to pollinate them. When I'm older I wish to have a beautiful garden full of flowers of all sorts, a bit like my grandpa's. He is constantly busy planting and taking care of the flowers in his garden, and the results I and my family get to enjoy during the warmer seasons. It's been that way ever since I can remember, and I love how some things simply never change.

I am a girl with long, curly hair, and sometimes (more than I'd like to admit) that hair needs taming. A product I love to use for this is Frizz-Ease by John Frieda. From what I understand there are several products of his sharing this name, and the one I have is called Secret Agent Perfecting Crème. To quote what is written on the tube: "It tames frizz and smoothes dry ends." This product can be used for both straight or curly hairstyles, and it smells delicious. :)

Just to get back to the flowers one last time, I would like to add this lovely song (also starting with the F) by the Lumineers. The first time I heard it was in an episode of Reign and I fell in love with both the song and the scene. It's called Flowers In Your Hair, and the scene is absolutely adorable. For those of you who watch Reign, it's the scene where little prince Charles says "She even smells nice." about Mary in the carriage. Francis replies to this with a sigh and a lovesick "I know." It is so light-hearted, just hearing the song can make your day at least 10% better.

And on that note I'd like to wish you all a great weekend!

With love,
Eva

Boohoo Shopping Haul

A few days ago I was watching one of Zoella's awesome videos where she did a shopping haul with clothes solely from Boohoo. I looked at her new clothes and got so inspired! So I ventured off to Boohoo.com, a British-International online fashion shop that has lots and lots of clothes with amazing quality and prizes. I ended up buying two dresses, one of which you can also see in Zoella's video :)

The first is a Cap Sleeve Bodycon Midi Dress and costed me only €12. The colour I picked is Charcoal, but it's also available in countless of other styles and/or colours. The fabric is super soft and makes the somewhat-tight dress extremely comfortable. My European size is 36, and the British size 8 fits perfectly for me. I especially love this midi dress because I find it compliments my length and hips and I also get to wear my favourite sandal-wedges underneath it. To quote my mum: "It's a sexy dress, but not in the exposing kind of way." I love that about it. I think it's elegant, sophisticated but also quite sexy. I would definitely recommend this dress to tall girls and/or girls who love to wear heels. I can't wait to stroll about in this dress when spring comes. ✿

The second dress I bought with the intention to wear to the beach or on a chill summer's day. I was right to buy it with this intention, for this Scoop Neck Maxi Dress isn't designed to take long walks in the city in. Although I love the shape of the dress, (tighter round the bum and looser at your feet) it can be quite the task to move around in. I think this will take some getting used to, and that eventually I'll get the hang of it; but for now I'm still scuffing around like a penguin in it. This might also be caused by the new sandals I was wearing underneath it, which, too, require some practice to walk in. This dress cost me €15, which I think is an amazing prize for the quality and fashion that you receive :)

The best part is still to come: Boohoo ships internationally, and free when your order is €25 or up! Free shipping!!! :'D On the website they state that the shipping takes 5-10 workdays, however my package arrived within two! I love everything about Boohoo, and so should you. ♥

I hope you all like my first Shopping Haul, for I expect more of them to come in the future ;)

Love,
Eva

Eeek, what objects start with the letter E?

You'd think it's easy to find object starting with the letter E, well, it isn't. Frankly, I find this collage a little boring compared to the others, but I'm posting it anyway :)

E is for Elastic bands, Earrings, Envelope, Eye shadow, Earplugs and Edgar Allan Poe.

Let's kick off with the main necessity in this collage; elastic bands. I wouldn't be able to live without them, honestly. I must say, though, that I wear my hair down more than I wear it up. (Which is solely because of my laziness) The past weeks I've been experimenting with different hairstyles, and I've come to find that I quite enjoy wearing my hair differently from time to time. My hair is curly and thick, and tends to be easily affected by the weather... Especially when it's raining... Lucky me, I live in the Netherlands! (Note: Sarcasm)  I've mastered the art of the "bun" on top of my head, although it hurts like hell to get all of my hair into one small, neat bun. I recently started wearing my hair in a high ponytail as well, and I'm currently practicing with braids :) And when I say practicing I mean cussing at tutorial videos on Youtube because they make it look so easy and I just can't seem to succeed.

If I was asked to give an example of an object of which I have hundreds but hardly use, I would say earrings. I recently gave a whole load of earrings away because I just didn't wear them. There are, however, like three favourite pairs which I do use: Including these little triangular earrings I bought at Parfois in Spain.

To return to a previous theme, I added one of the envelopes from my Snailmail box. This one I didn't make myself, but bought along with a cute postcard from Flow. I find it an adorable envelope with the little snail on it and the pretty use of colours (bright pink and beige). To tell you the truth, the inside of the envelope is even prettier :)

It took me a while to find a proper palette of eye shadow! I hardly wear it and the eye shadow that I do occasionally wear is all smudged inside the package so I figured that wouldn't look as pretty in the photograph. The only eye make-up I use is mascara and eye-liner, and I find that to be enough :)

Speaking of items I can't live without: Earplugs! (or earphones, whatever you call them) Oh, my, I don't know what I'd do if these weren't invented yet. I love listening to music while I'm cycling home from my dance classes in the late afternoon, or when I'm heading to the city on my own. I am, however, quite picky about when I listen to music outside. Like last week, when the weather was so nice and the birds were singing so prettily for the first time in months that I just couldn't bear blocking them out with One Direction :p I might as well just go ahead and say right now that I have a soft spot for birds... They are simply so cute and I love to hear them sing. I remember some time this winter I was sitting in class, taking some test, and all of a sudden I got really sad because I hadn't heard a bird sing for a very long time. And I couldn't figure out whether the birds were just gone or whether I had gone way too deep inside my mind. I just know that it made me very sad.

Edgar Allan Poe I sadly have nothing to say about. I just added this book to make the picture look pretty and I have never read a word of it. (shame on me) But, who knows! Maybe I will read it in the future and I will make up for this let down of a blog post ;)

In other news: I have been loving and obsessing over Zoella lately, and she posted a video on Youtube earlier this week showing the clothes she bought at Boohoo. I looked at her with awe. I more than loved the items she bought and couldn't help but browse through the amazing online Fashion shop as well. I just purchased a grey maxi dress, which Zoe is also wearing in her video, along with a dark grey midi dress. I am really excited for my package to arrive and to see how these longer dresses look on my body ♥ I have never worn anything like it before, so I am eager to find out. When they arrive, which should be within 5-10 workdays, I promise I will make a blog post about how they look :)

Love,
Eva

Dinglehopper is a legitimate word, right??

Second blog post of the day! Yay!

As promised, here is the update on my Instagram Alphabet :)

Here's D! It got a suprisingly large amount of likes, which made me very happy of course :) In this collage you can see my Diary, Daisy(by Marc Jacobs and by my sister), Dutch Tea, a DVD and a Dinglehopper.

I've got quite the pretty diary, don't I? It was given to me by one of my head teachers on the day of my father's cremation with the message to write my thoughts down in there. At first it just caught dust on my bookshelf but eventually I started writing more and more and I've become quite fond of it. It's a diary, but it's not like I sit down to write in it every single day. I just write in it when I think something is worth remembering, be it events, words or thoughts. To be honest, though, it's been a while since I took the time to write in it... For I have been really busy with other things lately. (I know, that's not a valid excuse...)

Daisy, Daisy, Daisy! I LOVE Daisy, and then I'm talking about both the fragrance and the flower. Story time! So I got this 50 ml bottle of Daisy by Marc Jacobs from my mother on my fifteenth birthday, because I simply wanted it so badly. I was first introduced to Marc Jacobs' lovely fragrances by my best friend and perfume junky Anne-Floor, who took me to perfumeries and sprayed Daisy into my scarf. It has become something like a shopping habit, actually! Every city we go to together, we stop by at a shop that sells Marc Jacobs and spray on the testers. (You can find it literally everywhere: We even managed to get some in a little village called Segovia, in Spain) To anyone who's never gotten the chance to sniff up this lovely scent, I suggest you run to your nearest perfumery and give it a try. Daisy is a lovely, girly but also fresh Eau de Toilette that can be bought in several sizes and occasionally comes in special editions. The other Daisy, which is also lovely, was not created by Marc Jacobs, nor is it a fragrance: It is a little felt dangle my sister made me for the same birthday, and it went with a book called The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Steven Chbosky (which I'm sure you all know about).

Like you might have read on my blog, I quite like the phenomenon Snailmail. I send letters to penpals in other countries, and when I do I like to send little tea bags with them. Preferably Dutch Tea, because that's certainly a flavour they haven't tasted yet. To be honest, I even made tea bags for my tea bags... Yeah... I don't know what that says about my life... I just make these tiny little envelopes to put tea in to send to my lovely foreign friends. From what I've heard so far, they really like it. So I suppose I will just continue making tea bag-bags. Oh, God. (I truly like making those, though! Maybe I'll post a tutorial some day. They would also look really nice on gifts, if you are one of those extensive present-wrappers like myself.)

You can nag me all day about this, but I still stand with my old opinion that DVD's will always be better than streaming or downloading. It just feels that little bit more special! Like, I may watch a movie or series online at first: But when I truly, truly love it, I will buy the DVD. No questions asked. It is quite stressful though, when others don't feel as you do. For example when you're looking for the disc, and people say "Oh, it's okay! We can just download it." No. That is just not happening, I'm sorry. Just like when you've still got an old video tape of a Disney movie. That movie will be watched through the use of our old VCR player and I will not argue with you. As you can see in the photo, this DVD is a sample from my Once Upon a Time Season 1 box. If there's any TV series I find DVD worthy, it's Once Upon a Time. For reasons I am sure you will discover in blog posts that are still to come. :)

I would understand if some of you have no clue whatsoever why I call a fork a Dinglehopper, but I would also be slightly surprised :p A dinglehopper, of course, is the fork Ariel uses in The Little Mermaid by Disney to comb her hair. I love Disney, I love The Little Mermaid, and the word Dinglehopper was somehow the first word that popped into my head when I started thinking of objects starting with the letter D. On that note, I think I'll end this blog post with my favourite song of the movie ♥

I genuinely hope you like reading these posts, because I truly love writing them. Have a nice day!

Love,
Eva

CAE Madness

Hi everybody!

Today has been one very productive Saturday... In fact; I spent it at school!

I can hear you wonder why, so I'll tell you all about it. First, however, I'd like to say that my blog post for the letter D of my Instagram Alphabet will be up later today :)

This morning I got up at half past six, or, at least that's when my alarm clock went off... (You know how it goes) Dreading the rest of the day, I bolted down my breakfast and got ready to leave for school, as I was heading towards my CAE exams. For those of you who have no clue what this is whatsoever: CAE stands for Certificate in Advanced English. It is an international English exam that my school provides for its bilingual students, of which I am one. We'd be doing tests from 9 AM till past 3 in the afternoon; with breaks in between every category of the exam. Including reading, writing, use of English and Listening. (Speaking we had done on an earlier date) So when the rest of the world was probably still sound asleep or peacefully eating their weekend breakfast; my friends and I were already flipping through texts and colouring in answer sheets.

All and all the day wasn't as bad as I feared it to be. The breaks in between the exams we spent laughing and with funny "my brain needs a break" conversations.

By the end of next month I will know the results of my exams and hopefully have passed. For now I am left waiting, and enjoying the fact that the exams are finally over!

This is Anne-Floor, by the way :) She's the friend I talked about in one of my previous blogposts. She's a blogger, too, so if you'd like then pay her blog a visit as well! ( baroquebeauty.blogspot.com )

Lots of advanced English kisses,
Eva

Cats, Cats, Cats

Hi everybody!
Another one of those lovely sunny days today ♥ I'm already dreading next week, for they say it will start raining again :( For now I'm enjoying every ray of sun I possibly can; absorbing vitamin D for the darker days to come :) Hence why I'm sat outside in the garden, blogging right now!
It's about time I posted my photo for the letter C, so that I can post them simultaneously on my blog and Instagram from now on. So here's C:
C is for Cats, Candle, Cards, Camera and Croptop.
Let's start with the cats, shall we? :) I adore cats more than any other animal. The Cat in the left corner is a postcard I got through postcrossing, and it came from a Canadian guy who had a very interesting story to tell. This is his cat, and he photographed it to send it to me ♥ It was a really friendly guy, and it is one of my favourite postcrossing postcards. In case you do not know what postcrossing is, I suggest you stick around my blog for a while because I will be putting up a page about my snailmail projects :) The other little cat is my sister's and has no emotional value to me whatsoever, I just loved it in my photo with the little red accents. I have a real cat, too, by the way; only she hardly sits still so she was inefficient for my collage ;) You will find plenty of photos of her on my Instagram account, though, so you could check out the cutie there. ✿
Candles! I love, love, love, love, loooove candles. They just set a certain mood ♥ Especially during winter times do you find me running through the living room with matches because I want to light every single candle we own. I've always wanted little candles in my bedroom, too, but my mum won't allow me to have fire in there. She's probably right, though; I can truly imagine myself accidentally setting my homework on fire... But candles are simply so cute! I just know that when I'm older and have a place of my own; every room will have some candles in it.
You have no idea how much I loved playing cards when I was little. I only knew a few different games, but it was the perfect way for me to kill time. Presumably because when I grew up and went on vacations; there was no Wi-Fi around on campgrounds yet. Nor would I know how to handle a computer at that age, to be fair. I would play card games until everyone was sick of me, or I was tired of losing over and over again. The last time I played a card game was a year ago, when I had to find a way to entertain my Spanish exchange student who lived with me for a week. I taught her Dutch games and she loved them, but when she started teaching me Spanish games I was all at sea.
The camera in the photo is not mine, but my sister's. With the sole and obvious reason that I had to take the photo with my own. I love photography, but I hate my own camera. Well, hate is a strong word... I just don't know how to handle it well! I feel like the snap-button has to be pushed way too forcefully in order to take a picture; often leading to moved frames. I truly wish I was better at photography than I am. Especially when it comes to the camera on my phone:  I literally CANNOT take a proper photo with my phone without using a shitload of filters on it. However, I am completely up to learning. On that note: A Fujifilm Instax camera is high on my birthday-wishlist this year.
To anyone who has never worn a croptop before; please try one out sometime. They are EXTREMELY comfortable, and especially nice during summer. You can wear them with shorts when you're going to the beach or pool, or you can wear them the way I do: With high-waisted shorts/skirts/jeans. Do I write that correctly? Last summer I bought high-waisted denim shorts from AmericanApparel in Amsterdam and I had never been more happy with a purchase. I also wear croptops with my high-waisted black circle skirt from H&M and my higher jeans from Monki. I always like to say; if you have a nice belly, don't hide it! It deserves to be seen! You worked hard on it :) (At least, I know I did: Turns out those ab-workouts during my dance classes pay off after all!)
So that was C, I hope you liked it! I will be posting D very soon on my instagram: @evazuring

Lots of love,
Eva

You're the B's Knees

Time for a little update on my Instagram-alphabet. As you may have read in two of my previous blogposts, I've started a project in which I create collages of objects I found in/around my house and photograph them for my Instagram account. As I am running a little behind on blog posts compared to photos, I'm planning on doing two today :) So, here's B!

B is for Bikini, Bulb, Bathballistic, Banana, Bracelet and Bunting. Yup, I created a funny face :)
The bikini I bought last year and it is my absolute favourite ♥ It is from H&M and it's super comfortable. Also; I just love the colour and pattern so much! I'm not even sure what it is, exactly? Stars or something? I just know that I love it to bits.
Look at that teeny little bulb! Isn't it adorable? I was looking for a light bulb inside my house and my sister came running up to me with this little thing. She told me it was originally from her sowing machine, but that it was broken so I could use it. I had never seen such a cute (and old) little light bulb before. Funny, isn't it? How such little (pun not intended) things can bring a smile onto my face? :)
Bathballistic! This is one came from one my favourite shops on earth: Lush. For those of you who do not know this glorious company; it is a bath and cosmetics shop that sells handmade products that smell absolutely delicious. Just walking by their shop makes your heart pound a faster; it is the best place to go when you're out shopping in the city, even if you're just popping by to sniff their new products. Added to this, the people of Lush are strictly against animal testing; and thus no bunnies had to suffer for your shampoo or moisturizer. Sadly, though, the prices of the products tend to be quite high in result of their friendly manufacturing. So when you're popping by at the Lush shop, be prepared to burn a hole in your pocket.
Banana! As much as I love seeing them in photographs because they give that summer-feeling; I absolutely HATE bananas. I don't like eating them, I don't like smelling them and above all I hate touching them. (When the peel's off, obviously...) It doesn't matter how convinced you are that I will like your smoothie despite the fact that it has bananas in it; I won't. It's been that way since I was little, and it's still that way today. I did love it in this photograph, hence why it's in there along with the other objects.
The bracelet I bought a little more than a year ago, at a shop called Newyorker. It's got little skull beads and has a light blue colour. I truly like it, but I don't wear it as often. When it comes to jewelry I am much more fond of necklaces. I think that is mainly because you don't feel it all the time, and it doesn't start hurting or annoying your skin. You know when you're writing a paper for school and it hits the table all the time? Yeah, no thanks. I love bracelets, just not that much at school.
Last but not least, there is my adorable bunting. Oh! That also reminds me of my next crafting project :) I was planning on making my own little bunting to send to my penpals in Turkey, China and England. There's just something about bunting that I love. Each year, on my birthday, my mum asks me if I still want to have the flags up. Yes. I will NEVER celebrate my birthday without bunting. It's just part of the celebration! If you don't agree with me, then I'd need an entire essay from you in order to prove your point. The bunting in the photo comes from a special published by the mind-style magazine Flow. It is a magazine my mum has been reading for years now, and I always steal her copies once she's done reading them. It is truly the prettiest magazine I know of. It's also often filled with paper-goodies, and I am a maniac when it comes to pretty paper. (Seriously, you should see my snailmail-box... It's a scary addiction to have...)

With love,
Eva

Oh, what a beautiful day!

Today was one of those extremely happy days, without any particular or special reason :) Everything simply seemed to be a little nicer today, and I enjoyed every second of it! For starters, we played table tennis with PE today. Now I'm not entirely sure what PE is like in other schools, but my PE teachers like to roll in the sound-system and play some nice songs. I have to admit that I LOVE playing table tennis so it was nice in the first place, but me and my friends also had a great laugh. This joyous lesson was followed by two free periods, which meant my best friend Anne-Floor (whom you can find on baroquebeauty.blogspot.com) and I could go shopping at a nearby mall :) She there helped me find some new make-up, as she is a little more knowledgeable when it comes to cosmetics. I always see other bloggers with their beautiful make-up and hair styles and I get this incomprehensible sensation that I want it too! Only it would take me some practice to learn how to apply it in the best way possible; and for practice I needed tools. So; I ended up buying a Defining Blush, Ultimate Lash Multimizer Volume Mascara (Why are mascaras always promoted so extensively??? It's absolutely ridiculous!) and Ultimate Colour lipstick from Catrice, along with another lipstick from Essence. That's right, I love some colour on my lips ♥ I'm not aware if this has been scientifically proven or anything, but I just find it gives me confidence! After some shopping Anne and I stranded in a little coffee shop and we drank mint tea to celebrate the sunny day. Sadly, school wasn't over yet; so we had to return to finish our last classes before we could go home. All and all I believe I haven't smiled as much as I did today for a very long time! Oohh! And I got a surprisingly good mark for my Geography test, which made me quite ecstatic as well :) I would love to hear what you all did with your sunny Tuesday, so don't hesitate to tell me about it in the comments.

Love,
Eva

A is for...

Like I introduced in my previous blogpost, I have started a new project I'd like to call my #instagramalphabet. Starting, of course, with the A :)
In this photo you can see my Armour, which I thought would be an ironic word for bra. I have a bit of a hate-love relationship with this bra to be quite honest, haha! I love the colours and the way it looks, but the satin straps constantly slip off my shoulder; which can be really annoying for a dancer. In the bottom right you see my Album, which I originally received to paste photos into of me and my father... But I never really did. Yup, it's still empty, and I've had it for several years now. It's really strange, though, because I always look at it and think "Oh, it's so pretty! I should really paste my photos in there!" but I never proceed to do it. Then there is the Apple, a fruit which I love until I'm halfway done with it. (I'm a weakling, I know) It is actually rare for me to finish an apple to the core, it's embarrassing! Then there's my Alarm clock which I absolutely HATE. For reasons everyone can agree to, of course, but also because it has the habit of deciding not to work while I'm asleep and ending up not waking me up in time. Lastly, there's Anna and the French Kiss. That book is amazing. Not because it has an amazing story line or life lesson or anything; but simply because it really captures the feeling of being in love. You get second-hand butterflies while flicking the pages like an idiot and the writing is just amazing. I guess you could say it is a lovely book to read when you're on the beach or, when in winter, in bed with a large cup of tea.
B is also to be found on Instagram already, and I will make a blogpost about that one, too, very soon :)
I hope you all enjoy my little project as much as I do!

With love,
Eva

Project Alphabet

Hi everybody!
So, how are you all enjoying the lovely spring weather? Sunny spring days are my favourite days of the year, along with beach days of course ;) I spent the weekend quite nicely, to be honest. On Saturday I woke up early to do a whole lot of gardening to raise money for my summer vacation :)
Yep, that's right: I worked on a Saturday. I didn't mind at all, to be honest. I quite like gardening and I find it particularly nice when the sun is shining down on you and it doesn't matter how wet or dirty you get. That came out wrong, I guess.... :p Anywho; me and my friends earned one hundred and fifty euros by cleaning this man's garden completely, and added it to our saved money for our trip to Switzerland this summer. I am beyond excited to go there for the first time. Plus; I'm going with my friends! We'll be camping next to a huge lake and it's going to be amazing, I'm sure of it.
So when I returned home early in the afternoon and I was actually supposed to be studying for this exam I had today... Ahum... I got creative! It happens sometimes, you know? Like you've got a sudden urge to do creative stuff and make pretty things. Or is that just me? It usually happens at night, though; which is quite unfortunate. I can't comprehend the amount of times I've lied in bed thinking "I WILL CHANGE MY BEDROOM COMPLETELY WHEN I WAKE UP IN THE MORNING AND I WILL BUY NEW CLOTHES AND DO STUFF WITH MY HAIR AND THEN I'LL BAKE A CAKE..." -and so on and so on. Sadly, when I wake up in the morning all I do is put on my robe and mope while I solve math problems because I don't want my teacher to become mad at me. But sometimes, just sometimes; those feelings start mid-day. I was lucky that the sun was shining so bright, because my plan wouldn't have been so easy to pursue if it weren't. So I took out my photo camera and started making collages with objects in my house/garden according to the alphabet. Some might say; LAME. But I had a lot of fun and I think some of the photos came out quite nicely. :)
I just want to add to this little story that I am an Instagram addict at the moment. I post way too often and get way too greedy for likes. But I just enjoy looking at what other people do with their days and I enjoy making everything look just a little prettier than they actually are. Because what is wrong with that? I've come to find that I simply love pretty things in all of its forms and that instead of just looking at other people's stuff/photography in awe; I wanted to create this feeling in other people's minds. So there I was, rushing around the house with my camera; trying to find things starting with the A, then B, then C- and so forth.
I will be posting them on my blog, too, with little explanations of the objects where needed. I just really hope you will enjoy looking at my creations ♥
You can find me on Instagram under the name @evazuring and I will be using the hashtag #instagramalphabet
So if my little quirky project has inspired you to do something similar, please use the same tag so that I could check out and like your photos as well :) The first photo will be up on the blog in a bit, I hope you like it!

With love,
Eva

Does anybody ever really talk about how difficult it is to start a blog?

Like, you've got this desire for a successful page with lots of readers and tons of interesting blogposts; but how do you start??? The first issue you have to face is deciding on the URL. All the good URLs are taken, no questions asked. So when you finally do have a somewhat reasonable domain name for your blog you start wondering: How on earth do I begin this thing? Do I tell people about my deepest ambitions and favourite colours beforehand or do you just start with the most random thing possible to see if people will catch on? I've decided to start with something a little like a short column, slip into the random things, and eventually end up telling readers about myself. Because, let's be real, who do I think I am expecting strangers to be so interested in me that they'd want to read about my life in an endless blogpost? But, hey! At least I've got a tactic.
So here I am, posting on my blog for the very first time; hoping and aspiring to be noticed some day. This is something like a bridge I need to cross in order to really start, if you know what I mean. Just so you know; I've already got some great things up my sleeve, and I would love for you to stick around in order to see it.

Love,
Eva
