My Brother Graduated!

Yesterday I was granted a day off school to witness the official graduation of my brother, who got his bachelor degree in English Language and Culture at the university of Utrecht. So from now on forth he's allowed to call himself "Bachelor of Arts" and I am very proud of that.

As I was sat in the beautiful hall where the diploma ceremony was held, I couldn't help but feel very excited; thinking that, maybe, one day I would be sitting in the very same room to retrieve my university degree. Who knows?

This week seems to be a bit 'future' and 'university' orientated overall, because tomorrow I will be visiting the University of Utrecht to take a look and listen to people talk about a course called 'Language and Culture', which is quite a bit different as to what my brother has just finished.

I don't know if it's just me, but I find it rather strange to be looking at future schools and universities at this point in my life. It gives me the feeling like I'm going to leave very soon, while the truth is that I've still got 1,5 more years of secondary education to finish! It's just odd to think about your future. It all seems so far away but really, it's not. Some might say it's scary, but I mostly just find it exciting. I'm thrilled to find out what the future holds for me.
